Business Development Manager – AEM Division, Japan
AEM Canada Group Inc. (AEM) is a Quebec-based company, headquartered in Montreal and with production facilities in Cap-Chat (Haute-Gaspesie). Responsibilities
- Management of all the Business activities in Japan in conjunction with our Head of Business Development Asian
- Maintain and extend customer and business relationships
- Implementation of Japan strategic plans, including key objectives, market share targets, development priorities, turnover & margin targets
- Price negotiation
- Planning and forecasting (in CRM system)
- Manage receivables for assigned Accounts/Segments to support the Capital goals
- Support and active participation in Global Team Organization
- Gathering and reporting of market information, including detailed market share data, competitor’s activity and price information
- Coordination and organization of management and applied technology support visits from Headquarters
- Participating exhibitions, forums and conferences that are related to our business in the region
- Coordinate the activities of the distributors in the region
- Coordinate the further recruiting process in the region

Process engineer
Are you interested in being part of an emerging company in the renewable energy sector
and having an impact on reducing our environmental footprint? This is what all AEM employees do every day, whether they are at the high-purity alumina production plant in Cap-Chat in Gaspésie or at the technological development center in Montreal. As a process engineer you will be at the heart of the production activities of the Cap-Chat
factory. You will also be a pivot for the optimization and process development activities of the Cap-Chat plant. Your expertise and knowledge will be used to ensure the monitoring of operations as well as the realization of improvement projects linked to current operations and to technological developments aimed at transforming AEM’s alumina so that it meets to the requirements of each customer.

Responsibilities
- Daily monitoring and analysis of operating data and performance for all areas of the plant, including the quality of finished products
- Technical assistance to operations teams in problem solving and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Production optimization (from design to implementation)
- Development and maintenance of operating procedures
- Development and maintenance of flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
- Liaison with project managers, AEM R&D team and external consultants
- Process design, sizing, specification and equipment selection
- Planning and coordination of commissioning
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical or other applicable specialty such as metallurgical, mineralurgical, mechanical, etc.)
- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec, or the possibility of becoming one
- 2-5 years of experience in chemical or metallurgical process engineering
- Bilingualism (French & English) both oral and written (an asset)
- Knowledge of AutoCad & SysCad software (an asset)
- Communicator, Team player, Autonomous
